Joystick Goodness 7 days a week! Free Mortal Kombat! Oh my!

October 8th is MORTAL MONDAY!

Joystick Gamebar will now be open 7 days a week. To celebrate, for one night only Mortal Kombat II will be on free play all night long!

Shake off that case of the Mondays with some spine ripping, neck slashing fun!

*Any high scores garnered on free play will not count towards the leader board. Also, if you hog the machine unfairly then you will be asked to put the joystick down and step away from the machine — play nice, kids. No one appreciates rudeness.

Time to try on your Full Flannel Jacket

It's cozier and more refreshing then it's metal kindred.

The newest edition to Joystick's menu features Post Road Pumpkin Ale, Riverboat Rye, and homemade ginger beer. It is our way of celebrating the gorgeous fall weather.

And, we hear it's how Bad Dudes celebrate after rescuing President Ronnie — because even Bad Dudes like to kick it Snuggie style!

100 Days Until the End of the World … Rampage finally 25 Cents

The Mayan gods will soon be bringing down death and destruction and pain and sorrow and random killing upon us all. We’d like to think in a perfect world it will be brought on by giant monsters. Hence Rampage is finally and permanently 25 cents.

Who says vacation is over?

Two springs rolls filled with pork belly, spicy jicama noodles, pickled peaches and dipping sauce for $6. Pair it with a Las Flores Locas and avoid angering the Tiki gods. You see what they did to Greg Brady.

Dragon*Con Has Descended Upon Us!

It's that time of year again — time for faeries, ugnaughts, and kilted Roman centurions to take to the streets of Atlanta! We at Joystick Gamebar embrace Dragon*Con like LOLCats embrace cheezburgers. To celebrate we are offering a complimentary order of homemade cheese poofs if you show your Dragon*Con ID.

But you don't have to be a Dragon*Con attendee to get in on the fun! All weekend long we are serving up $6 specialty Pisco Porton cocktails.

The 501st — (named for the fantastic Stormtrooper legion) — Pisco Porton, grape shrub, lime, Peruvian bitters

Hunky SteamPunky — (a twist on the classic Hanky Panky from early 1920's London) — Pisco Porton, Dolin sweet vermouth, Fernet Branca

4th & SAND — (a Joystick menu staple named for our corner of Atlanta: the Old 4th Ward and Sweet Auburn Neighborhood District) — Pisco Porton, hibiscus syrup, cherry liqueur, lemon

Come on down to indulge your outer child with classic arcade games and your inner adult with cocktails, beer, and food.
